YOUR ROLE

As an analyst, your role involves conducting innovative research, profiling companies and solutions, and delivering advice through reports, consulting, and speeches. You'll serve leaders in information security and risk management, such as CISOs and cybersecurity directors, supporting their organization's cybersecurity strategies. We seek someone who can profile, research, and present on tools, technologies, and best practices for effective cybersecurity. You should be passionately curious about technology and thrive in the dynamic cybersecurity landscape, with a solid grasp of market trends and end-user needs. Strong problem-solving skills, multitasking abilities, and a collaborative mindset are essential, along with a knack for delivering engaging presentations to diverse audiences.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct high-quality research to aid clients in safeguarding their information systems, operational technology networks, and critical assets.

• Understand and predict cybersecurity professionals' needs, informing organizational decisions on cybersecurity technologies.

• Perform primary and secondary research on cybersecurity responsibilities and technologies, including interviews, surveys, and data analysis.

• Manage research projects, meet deadlines, and deliver insightful reports.

• Produce various research documents and present webinars to clients.

• Collaborate with internal and external experts to develop comprehensive reports on cybersecurity trends.

• Advise clients on applying research to address specific business challenges.

• Engage in public speaking, vendor briefings, and media interactions to promote Catalisto's research and thought leadership.

• Utilize social media to enhance research visibility and industry influence.

• Support team members in research collaboration and strategic planning.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field

• Minimum 2 years of practical experience in cybersecurity from end-user and vendor perspectives, with a focus on strategy formulation and implementation

• Strong intellectual curiosity about technology's impact on organizational security and a drive to protect against evolving threats.

• Solid business acumen and understanding of challenges in building cybersecurity cultures and navigating threat landscapes.

• Creative mindset with a keen interest in future markets and technologies

• Excellent listening, critical thinking, and writing skills to distill complex ideas into compelling concepts.

• Proficient in delivering engaging presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Exceptional attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

ROLE TYPE

Full-time employee position based in Johanesburg, South Africa.

WORKING MODEL

This is a full-time position based in our Rosebank office. Remote working is not feasible.

COMPENSATION

This position will be pay market rates, depending on the experience, qualification and skills of the successful candidate.
